The "styrklack" is the guide that will ensure the polarity to be correct when the contact is connected to its socket.
In an aggressive environment (outdoors or in the ground) the contact should be protected with anticorrosive oil as well as being encapsulated — e.g. with silicone.
When cutting and extending the low voltage cable please observe the polarity of the contact. Also note that once you start tampering with the equipment the guarantee will be null and void.
