Performance
and effectiveness of Mole Stop
Moles and voles are difficult to remove from
their accustomed living space. It can take up to three weeks, in extreme cases
("a mole year") even longer until they leave. The
waves dispersed are roughly circular in shape and the radius of effect is normally
15-20 metres (800 - 1200 square metres). Concrete slabs, large stones or garden
ponds disturb the wave pattern and therefore reduce the effectiveness.
Vegetable or flower beds or mole hills are unsuitable sites since the ground
is too soft and will reduce wave dispersion. Moreover, moles and voles nest
in firm ground and often outside the garden perimeter, i.e. in quieter surroundings.
