Ultrasonic sound waves are not harmful to humans or pets!

The ultrasonic waves emitted by the device only represent one source of ultrasonic sound waves. Tube lights, TV-sets, refrigerator and other electrical installations all emit ultrasonic waves and contrary to an ultrasonic pest management device more or less continuously.
The physical effect of the Topo Stop ultrasonic models on humans and non rodent pets is therefore negligible! Especially if you consider the time of exposure which in the case of Topo Stop is only approximately 1% in comparison with other electrical installations.
Neither the sound pressure from Topo Stop (approx. 100 dB in pure ultrasonic setting) represents any danger. The Swedish Board of Work Security declares in their norms (AFS 1992:10, page 7-8) that for heavy impulse sound waves such as those emitted by Topo Stop, up to 140 dB is considered to be quite safe!
However, since Topo Stop for best pest management effect should be installed in closed quarters such as the attic or in the crawling space underneath the house, the Topo Stop ultrasonic sound waves will by physical laws never reach any living spaces.
So the conclusion must be, when Topo Stop is installed as per our recommendations the sound waves will in no way affect humans or pets!
